Scenic Knolls Golf Course is located two miles north of the Highway 26 and Highway 29 intersection in Mitchell, Nebraska. RV electrical and water hookups available. $15 nightly fee.
About the Course
Scenic Knolls is a nine-hole public course and practice facility. The course offers beautiful views of the area, including the Scotts Bluff National Monument. This golf course is suitable for all skill levels as it provides many wide open bail-out areas for the beginner and rolling greens and fairways for the skilled player. Scenic Knolls was built in the early '90's by renowned golf course designer and architect, Marty Johnson. The course measures 3,261 from the amateur tees and 2,573 from ladies tees with a par of 36.
Course Description
The greens are large and undulating; there aren't too many flat putts on this golf course. The rough is thick and uneven lies are a plenty. Native areas surround many of the holes and can be quite a hassle to hit out of... if you can find your ball that is. A few water hazards and sand traps are also sprinkled throughout the golf course.
Unique Features
Scenic Knolls Golf Course is home of the one and only Nebraska state shaped bunker on hole #7. Hole #6 is a double dogleg and one of the longest par 5's in the state of Nebraska.
Fairway Restaurant
The Fairway Restaurant, located in the clubhouse, is a great place to enjoy a meal or relax with a beverage. The Fairway also provides catering services at the clubhouse for your next family event or celebration. Stop by and check out the new sand volleyball court.
